The Church brought in the light of education by establishing the very first school in the province in 1853; this was Edwardes School, Kohati Gate, Peshawar City. Edwardes College, Peshawar is an offspring of the Edwardes High School, Peshawar.

The Diocesan Education sector is responsible for:

2 Computer Literacy Centres

1360 Christian and 2865 Muslim students

350 teachers

These institutions are located at Peshawar, Nowshera, Risalpur, Mardan, Bannu and D.I. Khan. All the Diocesan educational institutions (except Edwardes College, which is under the Board of Governors) are under the management of the Diocesan Directorate of Education.
