Health Sector


The Diocesan Health work is recognized through out the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province . The local Church in KPK Province is carrying forward the nobel work as-initiated by the Christian Missionaries from abroad. These service providing centres i.e. hospitals and health centres, stand as a symbol of Christians’ Faith Commitment. Minority community supporting the majority community, sharing the love of Jesus Christ for each and every soul on the face of Earth, irrespective of cast, creed or ethnicity. The Diocesan health institutions also serve as Diakonia centres

The Diocesan Health Sector is responsible for:

  • 2 Mission Hospitals located at Bannu and Peshawar
  • 2 Mother and Child Care Centres located at Risalpur and D.I. Khan
  • 1 Centre for the Mentally Challenged Children and the Physically Handicapped persons at Peshawar
  • Christian Hospital at Tank, under an independent Board of Directors, it is serving the tribal population of the area of Waziristan. The hospital is under the pastoral care of the Diocese of Peshawar.
The Church pioneered the following programs in the Province.

  • Centre for Leprosy Patients.
  • Centre for the Mentally challenged children.
  • Community Directed Rehabilitation for the physically handicapped.
