Women’s Ministry
The Diocese of Peshawar in view of its pastoral responsibility has setup a Women’s Desk. The Church aims to create awareness among the women and men, about the actual status and rights of women.
The Peshawar Diocese created women’s Desk in 1995. Mrs. Qamer Javed ran this desk voluntarily. Later, Mrs. Noreen Altaf was appointed as Sunday School and Women’s Desk Coordinator in the end of 1999. Since December 2005, Mrs. Reena Patrick is serving as full time Women’s Desk Coordinator.
Women’s Desk is responsible for the uplift of the women in the family as well as in the society. The administrative set up of the desk is as follows:

Aims and Objectives
- To grow in spiritual life to give testimony about God’s love to others.
- To recognize their talents and can able to utilize for the benefit of their families.
- To transform their thinking in line with the word of God.
- To perform as a better character in their own families as well as in society.
- To omit negative attitude and adopt positive ones.
All our efforts, to restore the respect and honor of women, are divided into the following four categories:
- Spiritual,
- Social,
- Physical and
- Psychological.
In order to achieve these goals and objectives the following activities are conducted on regular basis.
- Women fellowship meetings
- Camps, seminars and rallies
- Awareness program about the place of women in the wider community.
- Awareness programs about women rights and duties.
- Awareness programs about HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, C etc.
- Programs to understand the basics of our faith.
- Vocational Skill Training for income generating.
The Diocesan Women’s Desk is also taking care of the imprisoned women. We make sure that they are getting all the basic necessities in the jail and they are provided with their legal rights. Also we want to see progress in their spiritual lives, self-awareness, self-esteem, counseling and guidance.
